Lava Bubble

I captured this extraordinary image of a lava bubble at the instant it popped by pure luck! I saw the bubble forming in the viewfinder of an SLR camera
but after the mirror returned the bubble was gone. I thought I had missed the bubble, but found this image when I picked up the developed slides.
Taken on the southern coast of the island of Hawaii July 12, 1991, the day after the total solar eclipse. (click image for full size)
